Alessandro, who has been practising Yoga for three years, said although Yoga is divided into four paths Jnana, Bhakti, Karma and Raja, he will only share with them two paths Jnana and Karma.
Alessandro explained that Jnana involves deep exploration of the nature of our being by systematically exploring and setting aside false identities while Karma is the path of action, service to others, mindfulness, and remembering the levels of our being while fulfilling our actions which will help the students to have a clear thinking.
The word Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Yuj’ which essentially means to join or unite. The union referred to is that of the individual self uniting with Cosmic Consciousness or the Universal Spirit. Yoga is a means to achieving this goal.
